Ribbon jumper cables are pretty cool, just break off what you need and use them with your PCB or breadboard based project. This month we add 4 new ribbon jumper cables to our range.
- 200mm ribbon with 40 x 1 pin male connectors on either end
- 200mm ribbon with 40 x 1 pin male and female connectors on either end
- 200mm ribbon with 40 x 1 pin female connectors on either end, and no housing
- 200mm ribbon with 40 x 1 pin male and female connectors on either end, and no housing
At first glance you might wonder why the cables without housings are useful.
All our ribbon jumper cables use a DuPont Male or Female terminal, and on most cables this is covered with a black plastic single pin housing. Not having a housing means you can add you own, meaning you get more choice. For instance you might have a 6 pin housing at one end, and 6 individual 1 pin housings at the other. Here’s one we prepared earlier.
