USBASP Device Driver - signed

Updated USBASP Windows Driver

The USBASP windows driver is based on libusb-win32. Back in May last year, we released version 1.2.4.0 of the driver. That version was a big improvement over the previous one as it was partly signed.

Since then, the libusb-win32 project has released version 1.2.5.0 of their driver. This driver is now fully signed, so installation is easier than before.

Version 1.2.4.0 was partially signed and could be installed after Win7 showed a “Windows can’t verify the publisher of this driver software” dialog with an option to install it anyway.

Version 1.2.5.0 is supposed to be fully signed so I assumed Win7 would install it without showing any warning, however I still got the warning dialog box. After installation I verified and the installed driver was 1.2.5.0 with the Digital Signer showing “Not digitally signed”.

Thank you, I will test it later.

Not signed still. Win 8.1 threw up a comment of “not digitally signed”. Full stop.

Windows 8.1 64x – is functional. For install you need to switch off the checking of the driver-signatur in Windows.
